Obituary

Jason Randall Mayfield, age 44 of Vancleave, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

He is survived by his loving 23 years, Gina Herrington; his daughter, Hanna Mayfield; his parents, John and Kathy Mayfield, Jr.; his siblings, John Mayfield, III, Cynthia Mayfield, Stephanie Mayfield, Joel (Tally) Mayfield, Anthony Mayfield, Kenny Davis and Brandon Creel; his best friends, Melvin Hesler, Josh Vanderford and Scott Broussard; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Born in Brookhaven, Mississippi, Jason was raised in D’Iberville, where he attended D’Iberville High School and played football. After graduation, he went straight to work, beginning his career in construction by building swimming pools. Through hard work and determination, he grew that foundation into a successful business, eventually launching a vinyl siding company in 2003 and later expanding into home building.

Shortly after launching his vinyl siding company, he married his high school sweetheart, Gina, and together they built a life rooted in love and hard work. They eventually settled in Vancleave, where they built their dream home together. Jason took great pride in being a successful business owner and provider for his family.

A member of Chapel of Faith Church in Saucier, Jason was a man of strong faith and even stronger character. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed being on the water, whether inshore or offshore fishing. In the colder months, he looked forward to deer hunting in Carroll County with his daughter, Hanna, where they made countless lasting memories together.

Jason never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who would help anyone in need without hesitation. Known for his infectious smile and easygoing nature, he built lifelong friendships wherever he went. Above all, he cherished his family and the time they spent together.
