Jason Johnson

Jason Lee Johnson, age 33 of Hancock County, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016.
He was a professional carpenter who loved to hunt, fish and travel, especially to Chattanooga, TN. Jason loved being around his children and was an avid sports fan of the Atlanta Braves and the New York Giants. He was saved and became a member of Faith Baptist Church in April of 2010. He was a loving son, husband, father, step-father and uncle. Jason loved life and always made sure everyone around him had a smile on their face.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Ann Johnson; paternal grandparents, Arthur Willard Johnson, Sr. and Laura B. Cuevas (Louis); maternal grandfather, Joseph E. Ladner; and niece and nephew, Patricia and Cody Ladner.
Jason is survived by his wife, Michelle Johnson; parents, Arthur Willard Johnson, Jr. and Derinda A. LaBouve; daughter, Hailey Johnson; son, Braxton Johnson; step children, Brandon and Kelsey; sisters, Tina Elizabeth Funk (Eric) and Romona Lynn McGill (Jeremy); brothers, Arthur Dwayne Johnson and Michael Joseph Johnson (Rhonda); maternal grandmother, Mary Francis Ladner; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Faith Baptist Church, 8467 Canal Road, Gulfport, MS, 39503. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, served the family.
