Jarett Azard Segura, born on September 6, 1966, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025. He was a beloved member of his family and community, known for his joyful spirit and dedication to those he loved. Jarett spent much of his career working in the family shrimp business, where he not only contributed to the family legacy but also shared his passion for this way of life with others.
Jarett had a remarkable ability to bring smiles and laughter to those around him. His funny videos were a testament to his cheerful personality, reflecting his desire to make others happy. Beyond his work, he cherished the simple joys in life, including camping, fishing, shrimping, and caring for his chickens. Most importantly, his heart was full of love for his family, and he particularly enjoyed spending quality time with his girlfriend, Angela Taylor, often creating cherished memories together on the beach.
He leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and laughter through his girlfriend, Angela; and his daughters, Ashley and Jenna Segura, who were his pride and joy. His sisters, Christine Segura, Sherry Romero, and Charlotte Cessac, supported him throughout his life and will carry his memory forward. Jarett was survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, who were lucky to have him as part of their lives. Additionally, he held a special place in his heart for his Goddaughter, Nichole Stott, and Godson, Brandon Cessac.
Jarett is preceded in death by his father, Loua Segura, and his mother, Margaret Segura. He was also preceded by his paternal grandfather, Hazard Segura, his paternal grandmother, Mayva Segura, as well as his maternal grandparents, Frank Weekly and Frances Weekly; and his sisters, Trudy Hardy and Tina Saunier, as well as his nieces, Trisha Hardy and Dodie Hardy, who all enriched his life.
During this difficult time, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude for all prayers and condolences received. They also wish to express their appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
Jarett Azard Segura will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit, warmth, and humor will remain in the hearts of those he touched, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.
