Janie Marie Gooden Steiner, age 71, of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, October 08, 2013, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Steiner was born in Demopolis, AL to Elbert and Lenora Dunkin Gooden. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a substitute teacher at Temple Christian Academy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, David Louis Steiner of Gulfport; son, Keno Winkelhake; three stepchildren, Lynn Wooden, Jane Walsh, and Scott Steiner; grandson, Tyler Winkelhake; 6 step-grandchildren; siblings, Vonnie Joyce (Pat), Waymond Gooden, and Ronald Gooden.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 4:00pm at Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 9:00am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
