Jan was born along with her twin sister, Anne, to Peggy and Urel Blakeney on July 18, 1946, in Raleigh, MS. Jan was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She worked at Hancock Bank in Gulfport for 37 years, starting there as a teller and working her way up to Vice President of Investments. She was married for 52 years to her loving husband and best friend, Otis Easterling.
Mrs. Easterling was a loving person who thought more about the needs of others than of herself. She always wanted people around her to be happy, and selflessly shared with those she loved. Jan loved gardening and horses, and could usually be found outdoors even when everyone else was inside in the air conditioning!
Jan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Anne. She will be remembered and loved forever by her husband, Otis; her daughter, Debbie Denison; sister, Linda Blakeney; brother, Larry Blakeney; and her large extended family of relatives and friends.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family with arrangements.
