Jane “Jinky” Sohm-Underwood
(April 7, 1942 – December 21, 2025)
Jane, lovingly known as “Jinky,” was the heart of her family and a light in the lives of all who knew her. Though she experienced great loss, including her parents, her beloved husband George, and her son Doug, Jinky met life with grace, strength, and an open heart. Her love for others never faded, and her gentle spirit remained constant through every season of her life.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Sarah, and Kathy; her brother, Joe; and her sons, David and Donnie. Jinky was a devoted grandmother to Mike, Rachael, Jake, and Julia, and a cherished great-grandmother to Mila. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their many visits were among her greatest joys.
Jinky found happiness in life’s simple pleasures tennis, golf, flying, as well as treasured Friday night porch gatherings with dear friends from the Diamondhead Country Club. She loved traveling, whether on peaceful road trips or enjoying a favorite yearly cruise. These moments of laughter, companionship, and quiet joy filled her life with meaning.
Thank you, Jinky, for the love you shared so freely, the memories you created, and the warmth you gave to so many. Your legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know you.
