Jane Diane Arnett

Jane Diane Arnett, age 76 of Gulfport, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Diane, as she was known to all attended Ole Miss, earning a BA in Business Education and a Bachelor’s of Accounting. After obtaining her license as a Certified Public Accountant she served the citizens of Mississippi working for the State until retirement.

Diane loved doting on her nieces, nephews and dogs. Often they would find a pound cake in the mailbox with a handwritten note or what she called a ‘happy’. Over the holidays many hours were spent baking cookies and other goodies. She treasured spending time with her family and friends playing bridge, baking, gardening and sewing.

Diane was born in Winona, MS the only daughter of Raphael and Christine Arnett. She is survived by her brothers, John (Faye) Arnett and Tim (Nina) Arnett; and her nieces and nephew, Katie, Judith and Cris (Jena) Arnett and grandniece and grandnephew Sienna and Michael Arnett

The family is eternally grateful to the ‘girls’ as Diane called them for loving and caring for her during the last year.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions, in her memory, be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

A celebration of life to be held in Gulfport is pending and will be posted soon. A graveside service and interment will be held in Oxford.
