James Joseph Windt Sr., age 82 of Ocean Springs, passed away on February 12, 2018. He was of the Catholic Faith.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Barbara Windt; five siblings, and one son Donald Windt.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Jo Ann Marie Windt (Strissel); his children, Kenneth Windt (Kathy), James J. Windt Jr., Christina Ford (Francis), and Kathleen Stanton (James); grandchildren, Travis Windt, Francis Ford II, (Brandon), Anthony Ford (Ashley); four great-grandchildren, Peighten, Alexander, Kylee and Karson.
A native of Melbourne, FL, James lived in Ocean Springs for many years and retired from Wonder Bread where he drove a route for many years.
James loved fishing, Lionel Train sets, spending time with his family, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a 4th degree Honor Guard retired Knights of Columbus.
He will be deeply missed by his family, extended family and friends and his beloved pets who gave him much comfort in the final days.
