James Rice "Jim" Wilson

James Rice ""Jim"" Wilson, Jr., of Long Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Wilson, Sr. and Myra Nell McGuire Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Dean Wilson of Long Beach; his children, James R. ""Jimmy"" Wilson, III of Amarillo, TX and April Renee Pitts of Laurel, MS; his brothers, Harry Wilson (Lynn) and Bob Wilson (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Kenneth ""David"" West, James Cargill, Zachary Robinson, and Luke Garner; his many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; his precious little dog, Bailey, and her sidekick, Bella.
A native of Paris, TX, Jim graduated from Texas A & M Commerce with a degree in Accounting. He retired as Director of Auditing for the Northwest Natural Gas Company, Portland, OR. His other titles included CPA, CFE, CIA, and CISA and he was an accomplished writer with articles published in the National Accounting Magazine. He served as President for the Oregon Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, officially and as a volunteer.
Enjoying time together as a family was what Jim considered to be his biggest accomplishment and the time spent with his grandsons was priceless. He loved to play blackjack and poker and always worked a crossword puzzle every day. Watching his grandson, Luke, play football and basketball gave him such tremendous joy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m.
