James Henry Williams, age 52, of Gulfport passed away on May 21, 2009, in Jackson.
If ever there were a man to embrace GodaÌââ¢s bountiful gifts of life, that man was James H. Williams. The world lost this incredible man early Thursday morning. A consummate product of his South Mississippi upbringing, James proved mastery of his career as a seafood broker, dealing daily with what he found to be a natural fitaÌâ""his appreciation for local product evident with his JHW & Co. proprietorship. Otherwise, James indulged his greatest artistic love with his beloved guitar and knack for songwritingaÌâ""appropriately, of the Jimmy Buffett-and-company varietyaÌâ"" nods to the sea-dwelleraÌââ¢s life and the associated easy-going, sunny lifestyle. He recorded and performed his very personal music as a recreational outlet, in well-respected fashion, earning respect from venerated figures in the music industry, especially with his repeatedly invited participation in the Frank Brown SongwriteraÌââ¢s Festival.
As JamesaÌââ¢s entire life was truly one of a flesh-and-blood man of the sea--raised by a fisherman--his nautical penchant endured throughout his life. His father, Clarence, introduced him to a Pascagoula fishermanaÌââ¢s trade. Naturally then, James forever felt in his element anywhere near the water. Also through his upbringing, his mother, Jean, provided great strength for their large family, and continues to do so.
James additionally worked for Coldwell Banker Alfonso RealtyaÌâ""there, he garnered an unwavering group of friendships; these friends would assert that to have known James was to have loved him. Here, he worked in tandem with the love of his life, his partneraÌâ""Lisa McCardle Adams. The real estate environment is one of many that JamesaÌââ¢s earnest enthusiasm inspired in those around him a healthy optimism and work ethic.
For those whose paths crossed with his, JamesaÌââ¢s abundant love for life and hilarious sense of humor will surely be remembered with a real fondness. He impressed every individual around him with an indelible markaÌâ""James H Williams radiated a beautifully enlightened appreciation for his blessings: His surviving family of his two children, James H. Williams, II and Jamie Leigh Williams; his grandchildren, Ann Marie Williams, Braelyn Nicole Everett, and Carsyn Jade Williams; his parents, Henry Clarence Williams and Wilma Jean Williams; his brothers, Edward aÌâÅCricketaÌâ Williams, Henry aÌâÅSkipperaÌâ Williams, and Ronnie Williams; his sisters Susan Jones and Patricia Williams.
Lastly survives his latter life family of Lisa and her children, Lauren, Emily, and Barrett Adams.
Those who have known James, even briefly, will be deprived of his compassionate presence, but they will be left with the luminosity, energy, and humility James had instilled within every life he touched.
JamesaÌââ¢s final resting place will in two places: the Gulf from which he drew such deep inspiration, and further, in the many hearts that reciprocate his vibrant love.
