James Henry "Jim" Wallis

James H. ""Jim"" Wallis, Sr., age 85 and a resident of Biloxi passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton A. Wallis, Sr. and Lanette S. Wallis; his brother, Milton A. ""Junior"" Wallis, Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Wallis Ross.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Clare DeGeorge Wallis; son, James H. ""Jimmy"" Wallis, Jr. and his wife Lowanna; daughter, Cheryl Robinson and her husband Jimmy, all of Biloxi; and son, Michael A. ""Mike"" Wallis, Sr., and his wife Linda of D'Iberville; sister, Lydia J. Erikson of Biloxi; grandchildren: Michelle Swanson (Clay), Jamie Tindel (Cameron), Stephanie Roberts (Tom), Jamie Flowers (Brian), Walter Robinson (Ashley), Jeffrey Panter, Justin Panter (Anna), Michael A. Wallis, Jr. (Haley); and great-grandchildren: Jacob Swanson, Hunter LeVan, Spencer Roberts, Evan Kelly and Riley Kelly, Landon Panter, Grace Wallis and Brooks Wallis.
Jim was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was a life-long roofer working 32 years with Saucier Brothers Roofing and Sheet Metal and then was a founding partner of Jim Wallis and Son Roofing, Inc. After 54 years in roofing industry, he retired at age 70. In his earlier years, he was involved with Little League Baseball in Biloxi at Rose Street Ballpark, and was an avid sports fan.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Majerus, Dr. Cobb, Dawn Myers, his social worker, and the caregiver team of St. Joseph Hospice.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 17, 2012 at RIEMANN FAILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
