James Lamar Riser, age 83, of Saucier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.

James was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children, Jamie (Malcolm) Alexander, Jason (Beth) Riser, and Julie (Riser) Feutz; his brother, John (Virginia) Riser; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

James was one of six brothers and two sisters. He and his brothers worked together in the family business, Riser Construction, where they built not only a business but also many lasting memories together.

A hardworking man throughout his life, James spent many years driving trucks before retiring. He took pride in his work and in providing for his family.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
