James Donald Rhear, age 79, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Gulfport.
He was retired from the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Nell Rhear; first wife, Marlene Rhear; step-son, Raymond Holley and Barry Holley.
He is survived by his wife, Celia Elaine Phelps of Necaise Crossing; children, James Rhear, Jr. of Long Beach, John T. Rhear (Kathy) of Gulfport, Darren E. Rhear of Fern Park, FL, Lester A. Holley of Necaise Crossing, and Christopher J. Rhear (Marrissa) of Necaise Crossing; grandson, Aubry Rhear of Necaise Crossing; sister, Donna Juanell Hefner of Rocky Face, GA; step brother, Tommy Poteet of George; step sister, Wanda Ann Reynolds of Georgia.
A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until 10:00AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian. A graveside service will held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
