James "Jim" Pierce, age 53, passed away on December 6, 2017, in Biloxi, MS.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. Robert Pierce and Sharon Pierce of Biloxi; one brother, Lance Pierce of St. Petersburg, FL; one sister, Kim Stovall and her husband, Max Stovall of Houston, TX; and two nieces, Kaylan Stovall and Sara Stovall.
Jim spent years as a captain of pilot boats on Tampa Bay. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, loved nature and animals, and enjoyed walking. He never met a stranger and was a very giving person. He was a Christian and was of the Methodist faith. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 2-3 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to your local humane society.
