Mr. James N. Necaise, age 68, resident of Pass Christian, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Necaise was a native of Hancock County and graduated from Hancock High School. He served in the Army National Guard before being called to active duty. He was retired and was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux. He was an avid Sea Wolves fan. Mr. Necaise was true to his family, and loved them deeply. Spending time with them was first in his life. His granddaughter, Kaitlyn, was the apple of his eye, and he lived for supporting her in her activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Rosella Ladner Necaise; and an infant sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elvera Ladner Necaise of Pass Christian; children, Wanda Cole and her husband Robert of Pass Christian, Priscilla Crossgrove and her husband Harold of Pass Christian, Norman Wyndham and his wife Annia of Anchorage, AK; siblings, Lillie Mae Necaise, Herman Necaise, Virgie Harbin, Eunice Ladner, Gladys Ladner, Clarence Necaise, David Necaise, Harold Necaise, Emma Jean Roberts, and Louise Necaise; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Crossgrove, Phillip Crossgrove, Kaitren Cole, and Kaila Cole, all of Pass Christian; and beloved pet, Cocoa.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, where friends may visit from 6-10 pm. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m..
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dedeaux, at 11 a.m., where friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. For more information, please call (228)586-0510.
