James Moran

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, James Moran, father and grandfather, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 89 years old. James will be forever remembered by his sister, brother, brother and sister in law, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of Lizana, Mississippi, James attended St. Ann's Catholic Church. He spent his years as a cook for the US Army and after that he went to work at the VA where he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Scott of Pensacola; brother, Buster Moran of Gulfport;  brother and sister-in-law, Wilbert (Pat) Cuevas of Lizana; by his sons, Marvin Moran of Lizana, Gregory Moran of Dedeaux, and Michael (Beth) Moran of Gulfport, and daughter-in-law, Myra Moran also of Lizana; 11 grandchildren, Steven (Sonya) Moran, Jonas (Brandy) Moran, Miranda Moran, Chris (Ashley) Moran, Ashley (Stephen) Hicks, Kayla Moran, Chevy Moran, Arica (Preston) Caldwell,  Alex (Stanton) Schloegel, Jonathan (Brooke) Moran, Myles (Meghan) Moran, and 17 great grandchildren.
James will be reunited with his parents, Franklin and Viola Moran; beloved wife, Beulah Moran; two sons, Steven and Ricky Moran; his brothers, Francis, Buddy, Earick, Glenn and Norvell Moran.
Services in memory of James will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Visitation will be from 9:00- 11:00 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 23529 Highway 53, Gulfport, Mississippi.  Interment will be in Wolf River Cemetery.
