James W. McNeill, Sr., of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Biloxi, at the age of 87.

Mr. McNeill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McNeill; his parents and his siblings.

He is survived by his children, Elizabeth O'Dell & her husband James, Melissa McNeill and James McNeill, Jr. & his wife Kimberly;  his six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS.  The funeral procession will depart at 10:15 a.m. going to Biloxi National Cemetery where Mr. McNeill will be laid to rest at 11:00 a.m. with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army.
