James Edward ""Superman"" Mathews, age 50, of Orange Grove, passed away on December 12, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. Mathews and Nancy L. Mathews.
Survivors include his children, Jimmy, Nick, Jacob, and Brett Mathews, 1 brother, David Mathews, 3 sisters, Yvonne, Kathy, and Michelle ""Bee"" Mathews, 2 grandchildren, 11 nieces and 1 nephew, 16 great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Orange Grove Youth Association where he coached little league ball and field #2 was named the ""James Mathews Field."" He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 1 - 2:30 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm in Finley Cemetery.
