James Edward Mansfield, age 83, of Gulfport, passed away on September 14, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Mansfield, his son, James Michael Mansfield, his parents, Joseph and Clara Mansfield, his siblings, Tommy Mansfield, Richard Mansfield, Larry Mansfield, and Roger Mansfield.
Survivors include his son, Mark (Melissa) Mansfield, his siblings, Ronnie Mansfield, Sheila Ray, David Mansfield, and Denise Atkins, his grandchild, Candice Guidry, 2 great grandchildren, Blake Broussard, and Brennan Reilman, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Mansfield served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and later retired from KAFB as an electronics instructor. He loved bowling, playing tennis, and served as a little league baseball coach. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife prior to her death.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17, 2013, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Diabetes Foundation.
