James Andrew "Drew" Hadaway, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Born on November 6, 1957, in Pensacola, Florida, Drew’s life was marked by his dedication to family, his spirited enthusiasm for life, and his warm, kind nature.

Drew grew up in Long Beach, MS and graduated with the Class of 1977 and went on to commit much of his professional life to family-owned business Hadaway's Tire and Service located in Gulfport, MS. He was widely respected as a skilled mechanic and service manager. Following the sale of the tire store, he continued his career at Ryan Walsh Stevador at the Port of Gulfport. After an early medical retirement, Drew moved to Gulf Breeze, FL, seeking to be nearer to his beloved son and grandchildren, underscoring his unwavering devotion to family.

Known to all who knew him as a kind, gentle, and fun-loving person, Drew's passions included being a die-hard Alabama fan, as well as enjoying hunting, fishing, and relaxing moments spent with his family. Particularly cherished were the times at the family homestead in Alabama—a place he held dear. His fishing buddy, Pat Scott, could attest to the many memorable stories born from their shared adventures.

Drew was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where his presence and spirit were treasured by the community.

He is survived by his loving children, Andrew “Andy” Hadaway (Erin) of Destin, Florida, and Tiffany Hadaway Hathcock (Mark) of Gulfport, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Addison, Alden, and Rylan Hadaway of Destin, FL, and Tinley Noble of Gulfport, MS. Drew also leaves behind his siblings, Jill Hadaway Dolan of Long Beach and Chuck Hadaway of Gulfport, MS. His nephews—Davey Bogolin of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Danny Bogolin (Emily) of Pass Christian, Mississippi; Paige Conley (Sean) of St. Augustine, Florida; and Christopher Dolan of Long Beach, Mississippi—also survive him, carrying forth the family legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Carey Hadaway, Sr. and Agatha Wright Hadaway; his sister Sally Hadaway Bogolin; brothers-in-law David Bogolin and Timmy Dolan and niece Karie Dolan.

James Andrew “Drew” Hadaway’s legacy is one of love, commitment, and warmth. He will be deeply missed.
