James Lee

d. August 17, 2017

James "Jim" Edward Lee, 71, a lifelong resident of Biloxi, passed away at home surrounded by family on August 17, 2017.
After graduating from Biloxi High School in 1964 he earned a B.S. degree in architectural design from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was employed with Biloxi Prestress Concrete until he became a self-employed contractor. In his early years, Jim worked as a charter boat deckhand aboard the Quicksilver and continued his love for fishing throughout his life. For more than 40 years, he was a member of the Pearl River Rod & Gun Club, serving as President for the last 20 years, where he cherished countless duck hunts with dear friends and family in the Pearl River marsh.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cyril Lee, his mother, Margaret Fickes Lee Foster, and his stepfather Dr. James Ray Foster.
Jim was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather "Big", and treasured friend to all. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ann Babuchna Lee, his son James "Jamie" Lee, his daughter Katie (Will) Wilkes, and his grandson Liam Wilkes, all of Biloxi. He is also survived by his four siblings; Robert (Sylvia) Lee of Biloxi, Jim (Kay) Foster of Biloxi, Karen (David) Duke of Decatur, AL, and Lee (Renee) Foster of Birmingham, AL.
A special thank you to Dr. Allison Wall and staff, Kare-In-Home Health Services, and Kare-In-Home Hospice for all their loving care and support.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Jim will be laid to rest the following day at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, after a private graveside service.
