James Davis was born on December 25, 1941, in Lincoln County, Mississippi. He dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country, joining the Air Force at the age of 18. After 29 years of dedicated service, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His role as a mechanic focused on fighter jets, and his career allowed him to travel to all 50 states and beyond, marking him as a proud Vietnam Veteran.
James passed away on November 19, 2025, in Vancleave, Mississippi. He is remembered not only for his service but also for his passions. He enjoyed cruising the coast and had a keen interest in working on antique cars and trucks. James was also known as a thrift store connoisseur, always on the lookout for unique finds.
James leaves behind his daughter, several siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Davis. His legacy of service and love for family will be cherished by those who knew him.
A private Graveside will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
