James Marlin "Sonny" Carr

James ""Sonny"" Marlin Carr, Jr., 67, of Saucier, died peacefully at home on June 26, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born December 26, 1947.
Sonny was preceded in death by his father, Marlin Carr and daughter, Laurie Michua.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Deborah; his mother, Ruby Carr; children, Shilo Clark (Russell), Charles Carr, Joseph Carr, Tina Carr, Donna Bond (Chris) and Ronnie Hoda; his siblings, Ruth Everhart (Tyron), Charles Carr, Sandra Carr and Wayne Carr (Vicki); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
For all that knew Sonny, they knew that he did not shy away from work. In fact, hard work was imbedded in him as a young child. Sonny retired from the Harrison County after 15 years. He also retired from Colonel Bakery where he worked for 29 years. After retiring, Sonny spent his time traveling with his loving wife. He enjoyed working on his tractors and sitting in his shed listening to music. He will forever be missed and loved by those who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS.
