James Fisher "Bo" Bruce

James Fisher "Bo" Bruce, Jr., age 72 of Perkinston, MS., passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 in Hattiesburg.

Bo was a loving father, brother, and friend. He was a very hard worker. If there was a way to do something easy or hard, he would find it and do it with no doubt. He was a drywall finisher, painter, and shrimper. During his lifetime he taught many people his skill of drywall and painting. He had a selfless, giving attitude and personality.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra May “Sandy” Bruce; father, James Fisher Bruce, Sr.; mother, Ruth Helen Bruce; and son, Kevin R Ponthieux.

Bo is survived by his daughters, Gwen Bruce, Dajuana (Keith) Rodriguez, and Nikki Bruce; sons, Rodney (Zahilys) Bruce and Kevin (Corinne) Bruce, and Jacob Makler; grandchildren, Andrea Bruce, GiGi Bruce, Kirstie Morgan (Cade), Erica Kent (Austin), Bryanna Dupont (Mathew), Dusten Hoda, Caroline Bruce, and Fisher Bruce; great grandchildren, Kailee Bruce, Kailyn Bruce, Kalyssa Bruce, Gracelynn Sébastien, Aubryn Sébastien, Rhylynn Morgan, River Kent, Laikyn Kent, and Waylon Kent; sister, Penny (Jerry) Ladner; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He will truly be missed by ALL his family and friends.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until the 9:00 p.m., at The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
