Jake Schorghofer, age 31 of Pass Christian, MS, passed away in Gulfport on February 1, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Schorghofer; cousin, Robert Breland; and grandmother, Vada Mae Saucier.
Jake is survived by his wife of 8 ½ years, Jessica Schorghofer; mother, Beth Ann Garrett; children, Mya Jade Schorghofer, Austin Jake Schorghofer, and Savanna Lynn Schorghofer; siblings, Gracey Schorghofer, Benny Schorghofer, Devin Smith (Sissy), and Mike Mike Malone.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was baptized at Campground Baptist Church.
Jake worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Snider Fleet Solutions and loved anything to do with racing, especially his race car. He can best be remembered by this motto: "If one day the speed kills me, do not cry because I was smiling."
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 5 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Standard Sand Hill Cemetery.
