Jacob Paul Nitkiewicz

Jacob Paul Nitkiewicz, age 31, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Wiggins, MS.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Nitkiewicz; paternal grandparents in New York and maternal grandparents in Saucier, Mississippi; and his brother-in-law, Blake Moss, of Norman, Oklahoma, who died on the same day.

He is survived by his wife of 4 months (although dating since 2013), Mackenzi Geil Nitkiewicz, Gulfport, MS; his daughter, Emersyn Grace Nitkiewicz, Gulfport, MS; his father, Paul Nitkiewicz, Saucier, MS; his siblings, Jill Moss of Norman, OK and Jerry Nitkiewicz (Megan) of Alabama; a nephew, Brooks Moss of Norman, OK; a niece, Chandler Moss of Norman, OK; his mother-in-law, Laura Geil; his father-in-law, Lance Geil; and a brother-in-law, Gunner Geil.

He was a native of Saucier and was currently living in Gulfport. He was a graduate of Harrison Central High School.

Jacob was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. During his four years with Delta Tire World, he built meaningful relationships with his team and earned the respect of those around him. His recent promotion to Manager was a testament to his dedication, leadership, and the pride he took in his work.

Above all, Jacob defined his greatest achievements through the life he built with his family. He was devoted to his wife, Mackenzi, his soulmate since their teenage years, and their daughter, Emersyn Grace. Jacob was a present, steady husband and father who prioritized time together and created meaningful memories that will be cherished for years to come.

He took immense pride in his role as a husband and father, pouring his heart into providing, supporting, and celebrating those he loved. Jacob recognized every milestone in Emersyn’s life with enthusiasm, from her dance and piano recitals to her strong grades and cheerleading tournament wins. His legacy is reflected in the love, encouragement, and dedication he showed each day.

Jacob found joy in the simple, everyday moments he shared with his family. He especially cherished collecting Pokémon cards with Emersyn, creating lasting memories through their shared interest. He also took pride in working on his “new” 1996 Nissan truck and enjoyed the process of bringing it back to life.

He loved spending time outdoors, whether fishing, camping, or exploring mountain trails. Traveling with Mackenzi was a shared passion, and their recent honeymoon to Colorado Springs held a special place in his heart. In quieter moments, Jacob enjoyed unwinding with his PlayStation, family time, his collector items, and his “chill” time.

Faith played an important role in Jacob’s life. He was raised in Michael Memorial Baptist Church and most recently attended Northwood Church, where he continued to grow in his faith and community. He encouraged Emersyn in her faith, leading by example and supporting her kindness, participation, and the values that will guide her throughout her life.
