Iva Luvene Diehl Ingram Anthony was born on August 11, 1929, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Cecil Boyd Diehl and Minnie Ella English Diehl. She passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, surrounded by loved ones.
Iva was a devoted Christian and mother. She cherished the Lord and her family above all else. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ann Ingram, Deborah Gail Ingram Lee Deal, and Karen Irene Ingram; her sister Loretta Diehl Owens Thorp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and her brother Cecil Boyd Diehl Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Boyd and Minnie Ella English Diehl; her spouses, Bruce Howard Ingram and Fred Anthony; her siblings, Delores Janet Diehl Herdman, Dottie Mae Diehl Fleming, Norma Jean Diehl, Barbara Diehl Shawdah Walker, George Robert Diehl, Jerry Wayne Diehl, Baby Girl Diehl; and her child, Infant Boy Ingram (1966).
In her younger years, Iva was an avid photographer, seamstress, quilt maker, and pottery artist. In 1986, she moved to Gulfport, Mississippi, with her husband Bruce Ingram to take management of the Greyhound/Trailways bus terminal. Upon Mr. Ingram’s death that same year, Iva and her daughter Linda Ingram continued management of the Gulfport terminal until 2013.
Iva was a faithful member of Olivet Baptist Church beginning in 1986, where she worshiped and served for more than 30 years. In 1992, she met her husband Fred Anthony, with whom she shared 17 wonderful years.
Throughout her life, Iva was known for her faith, kindness, strength, and creativity. She touched many lives with her warmth, generosity, and artistic spirit. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, family and all who knew and loved her.
The graveside service was conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, MS. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family. Please sign the online guestbook and share memories at www.riemannfamily.com
