Isabelle Rosetti Bishop, age 75, of Long Beach, made the transition from her earthly home to her heavenly home on March 8, 2016.
""A wife of Noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. she brings him good, not harm all the days of her life.""- Proverbs 31: 10-12.
We are thankful for her life of witness, as it was purposed and prioritized around the happiness and well being of those she so intimately loved. Choosing what matters close to her heart, we were blessed by her decision to love, respect and value a marriage with her life partner, Mike, of 53 years. As the matriarch of our family she often danced to the tune of strong and gentle. Overcoming some physical obstacles with courage and a spirit of resilience, she knew then that the fight was not about her but the family she was devoted to. She possessed an admirable spirit to compete, which revealed itself in her natural ability for athleticism.
Isabelle was granted the gift of avoiding life distractions, not looking to what success looked like in others, but the victory she found in staying the course as she continue to invest in what mattered most. She sought and searched through life with a happy and kind heart, not by the traps of what can be lost or stolen, but in her moments of serving and caring for those she loved. She found much joy in cooking, and you know the gift if you got to experience her famous gumbo and bread pudding. My mom and dad spent time in their younger years holding hands and hearts as they circled around the dance floor. As their life journey led them into the retirement years, they enjoyed their time of quiet and rest in RV camping. We are blessed by her legacy to love, cherish and treasure what matters most. Isabelle was a mom, housewife, and entrepreneur. She worked in accounting services, as well as co-owned and operated PM Enterprises with her husband. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Bishop, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Rosetti, her siblings George and John Rosetti. Survivors include her sister, Diann Ladner, her children, Paul Michael (Melanie) Bishop, Jr., Barbara (Scott) Lemon, and Tony Vincent (Penny) Bishop, 7 grandchildren, Christine, Cathryn, Michael, Sara, Meghan, Lauren, and Tony Vincent, Jr., 1 great-grandchild, Charlie, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 East Beach Blvd., Long Beach.
