Irvin Clemmeis Dement, Sr., 85, of D’Iberville, MS, went home to be with The Lord on July 5, 2026.

Born on November 12, 1940, in Bassfield, MS, he was the son of Alex Dement and Mary Elizabeth McArthur. He married his wife of 59 years, Wanda Middleton Dement in 1967. Irvin worked as a longshoreman in New Orleans for many years before dedicating his life to this ministry. He pastored three churches in Louisiana and evangelized across the United States for decades prior to his retirement back home to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and eleven sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Dement; his daughter, Michele Dement Whitehead (husband Michael); son, Irvin C. Dement Jr, (wife Dawn); and daughter, LaWanda Denice Dement. He is survived by two brothers and five sisters, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

A visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at The Pentecostals of The Gulf Coast, 1907 Popps Ferry Road Biloxi, MS 39532. A procession to Biloxi Mausoleum will take place immediately following the service.
