Irma Jean Saucier

December 14, 1938 — August 23, 2016

Jean was born December 14, 1938, in Hancock County, MS, the oldest child of Marvin and Lois Ladner Head. Jean was called home to be with her Heavenly Father and family on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
Jean was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wiggins branch.
Jean met the love of her life, Arthur Denton Saucier, when he was a senior, and she was in the eight grade. He was driving her school bus. They married August 31, 1954, when she was 14, and he was 19. They were together for 40 years before death temporarily separated them. Jean is now with her forever love.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Bobby Wayne Head and Marvin Jimmerson ""Jimmy"" Head. She leaves to cherish her memories her brother, Ralph (Pat) Head; her sister, Adell Head Walker all of Gulfport; her daughters and loving caregivers, Sandra (George) Hauersperger of Perkinston, whom she lived with, Donna Saucier of Saucier, Tracey (Joe) Wolfe of Gulfport; and her son, Arthur Dawayne (Stephanie) Saucier of Pass Christian.
She was the best Nanny that 11 grandchildren, Amanda (Dewayne) Canterberry, Brandon (Jana) Dearman, Ashley (Brad) Moye, Adonna Disbrow, Amber Kirkpatrick, Andrea Bond, Aretha (Caleb) Cuevas, Codey Wolfe, Black and Gracie Saucier and Kali Smith, could be blessed with.
Nanny to 10 great grandchildren, Layne, Brooke and Evan Turan, Lacey, Kelcie and Denton Dearman, Avery, Addison and Colston Moye, and Harper Kirkpatrick. She dearly loved her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially niece, Shelby Walker Shaw, whom she shared a birthday.
Jean spent her life loving and caring for her family and friends. She always had food cooked, an open home, and was a second Mom to all our friends. She was talented seamstress, quilter, and crocheter. Our quilts and crochet tablecloths are our greatest treasures.
Mom, you raised us to be strong, loving and caring. We are forever grateful.
Enjoy your reunion. We will love and miss you. Until we meet again.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Raghotham Patlola, N.P. Stepheny Bruckley Sumrall, and Dr. Fidel Sendra for their excellent care and compassion shown to our Mom and giving us extra time to be with her. Thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Sloan, and N.P. Jillian Ladner and the wonderful staff at Stone County Hospital for their special care. A special thanks to Kim, Jaime, Lakeisha and Trixie with Kare in Hospice for your love, compassion and care for our mother.
