On December 21, 2017, a great beacon of light lost its glow. Irma Sims Gazzier gained her Angel wings and went to be with the Lord.
She leaves behind the love of her life and husband of 53 years, George M. Gazzier, whom she married in 1964; their seven children, John Gallardo (Mary), Nora Stokes (Monty), Rebecca Lott, Jessie Gallardo (Lucia), Lisa James (Michael), Finley Gazzier (Shannon), and Manny Gazzier (Christy); twenty six grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Sims and Margaret Turner; and aunt, Della McCaughn.
Irma enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball and teaching them how to dance. Irma had a contagious smile and brought happiness and joy wherever she went.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10:00 am until time of the service. Burial will be in Finley Cemetery.
