Irene Roney, age 99, passed away on November 16, 2015 in Gulfport, MS.
Irene was a member of the Long Beach TOPS club for 40 years, the quilting B.A.L.L. club for 40 years, and a 60 year member of the First Baptist Church of Orange Grove.
She was an avid gardener, seamstress and enjoyed quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Curtis Roney; parents, Issac and Lucy Holloway; one daughter, Shirley Belz, and 11 siblings.
Her survivors include her four children, Shannon Harris, Becky Kennedy (Bob), Jimmy Roney, and Jean Hammons; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 3-4 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will follow visitation at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Our Home Universalist Church Cemetery, in Laurel, MS.
