Ira Christine Hathaway, age 91, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away on October 4, 2026 in Clearwater, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Sherwood Hathaway, Sr.; parents, Hammett and Ethel Langston; brothers, Eugene Langston, Walter and Janice Langston, and sisters, Thelma and Virgil Prather, Dorothy and Reed Hileson, Lois and Bill Kelly and Louise and Penson Ramsay.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Hathaway Jr. (Jeanne); brother, Carl Langston (Carol); grandsons, Donnie (Leah) and Stephen; great granddaughters, Diem and Reese; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine loved nature and frequently enjoyed walking, gardening, and feeding the birds. She was also a member of Long Beach Presbyterian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, 19361 28th St, Long Beach, MS 39560.
