Hugh Richard Owen, 82, of Biloxi, died Monday, December 8, 2014 in Gulfport.
Mr. Owen was a native of Columbus, Ohio and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1971. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1949 to 1971 in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Master Sergeant. Mr. Owen was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Joppa Shrine Temple and was an avid Golfer.
Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Edith Owen, and his brother, Jim Owen.
Survivors include his three children, Scott Owen, William Owen, both of Long Beach, and Cynthia Bergland of Peoria, Arizona and their mother, Yvonne P. Owen of Biloxi; his sisters, Iva Sammons of The Villages, Florida and Vicki Sherman of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Samantha Owen and Summer Owen.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Long Beach. Services by RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Long Beach and tributes may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
