Huey L. "Buddy" Cuevas

Huey L. ""Buddy"" Cuevas, Sr., age 83, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Cuevas was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Gay Cuevas; his parents, Alester and Rebecca Cuevas; his two sisters, Ethel Cuevas and Irma Cuevas and his two brothers, Lavern Cuevas and Earl Cuevas.
Mr. Cuevas was a native and lifelong resident of Pass Christian, MS. He was employed for 28 years at Ingalls Shipbuilding in the sheet metal shop. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian. Mr. Cuevas was a very hard worker, he loved his music as he was a musician for many years and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Cuevas is survived by his wife of 65 years, Veda Mae Cuevas; his son, Huey L. Cuevas, Jr., (Sheila); his daughters, Betty Carol Ladner and Reba Ladner (Joey); 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, many friends, especially his special friend, Kenny Mike Cuevas and his special buddy, Lector ""Bubby"" Cuevas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 19, 2015, from 4pm - 9pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road in Pass Christian, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 20, 2015, at 10 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at New Delisle Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
