Hollie Lee

Hollie Stewart Lee, age 86, of Woolmarket, passed away on April 6, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula Lee; 7 siblings, James Lee, Annie Ryder, Jesse Lee, Robert Lee, Doris Ross, Ollie Fayard, and Iris Ryland.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Billie Redmond Lee; his loving children, Karen (Ken) Mabou, Connie Lee Cushman, and Timothy (Sherri) Lee; 10 grandchildren, Carlos Stewart Lee, Michael (Kristen)  Murphy, Kelli Murphy (Jeremy) Puckett, Katherine Gorski, Elizabeth Gorski, Bryan (Jennifer) Cushman, Matthew Cushman, Jessica Cushman, Sheryl Cushman, and Leia (Sammy) Loveday; his siblings, Webb (Karen) Lee, Lowell (Christine) Lee, and Ruth Bartell; 14 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Lee was a lifelong resident of Woolmarket and graduated from Woolmarket High School in 1951, attended Perkinston Junior College, before joining the U.S. Coast Guard.  Hollie served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Salvia (WACl-400).  He worked with the U.S. Forest Service from 1957 until retirement in 1988.  He loved the outdoors, deer hunting, turkey hunting, and he enjoyed planting big gardens and explaining everything about trees.
He was a member of Woolmarket Baptist Church over 50 years.  He loved the Lord and his family.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 11, 2019, from 1 - 3 pm at the Woolmarket Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be at 3 pm in the church sanctuary.  Interment will be in Coalville Cemetery.
