Hiram Gentry

Hiram "Fred" Gentry Jr., age 79, a resident of Gulfport, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram Fred and Wilma Gentry; his sisters, Ruth Avery, Freda King, and Earline Gentry; his previous wife, Patty Gentry; his son, Eddie Gentry; and his daughter, Barbara Goodman.
Fred is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara Gentry; his son, Hiram Fred Gentry III, his grandson, Myles Gentry; his step-children, Tracy (Tim) Sloan, Donna (Virgil) Niblett, and Kirk (Tara) Merritt; his step-grandchildren, Adrienne Idigpio and Ian Sloan; and his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred retired from Gentry's Body Shop which he owned and operated. He loved to race cars, hunt, fish, and have good times with his friends and family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mullins and his staff, Memorial Hospital Staff and the Hospice Staff.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
