Henry Clay Davis Jr, 86, of Gulfport, MS/Mission, TX, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the Veterans Hospital in Biloxi, MS after a lengthy illness.

Henry was born on November 30,1935 to Henry Clay and Placida Villegas Davis. Henry graduated from Mission High School in 1954 where he played baseball. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduation and had several deployments to Europe and Asia. He retired after 22 years of service and made his home in Gulfport; MS. Henry continued his education by receiving both a Bachelor and master’s Degrees from Southern Mississippi University.

It was during his Air Force service that he met his long-time partner of 45 years, Anna Suit. They shared a home and their life together in Gulfport. Henry was loved by anyone that met him. He was kind and caring and had a love for watching sports on TV. One of his pastimes was to call his relatives and friends at all times of the night and those that were fortunate enough to get a late-night call loved every minute. To know Henry was to love him. His passing has left an eternal void and he will be missed by all.

Survivors include his long-time partner, Anna Suit. His son, Henry Clay Davis III (Renee). His daughter, Belinda Davis Schneider (Scott). Brother, Joe “Bole” Davis (Rina). Grandchildren, Shauna Davis, Rachael Davis, Kristen Davis, Heather Davis, Christopher Schneider, Hailey Davis and Danielle Davis. Seven Great Grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Blended family children that Henry considered his own, Son, Achim Suit (Leslie), son Diethelm Suit, daughter, Kai Suit-Beach (Mark), son Nico Suit and son Regen Suit (Tram). Grandchildren, Chanta’ Ramsey (Boe), Michael Mann II, Hannah Ryan Suit, Jake Suit, Grant Suit, Sage Suit, Olivia Flinchum, Alyssa Flinchum, Ava Suit, Laila Suit and Jackson Suit. Great Granddaughter, Savannah Kai Hill.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clay and Placida Villegas Davis, and son Javier Omar Davis.

A service is planned in Mission TX where he will be buried next to beloved family.

Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport, MS is serving the family.
