Henry Alexander Busby, Jr., a cherished individual and a respected member of his community, departed this life peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Diamondhead, Mississippi. Born on August 13, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Henry lived a life characterized by dedication to his family and commitment to his profession.

Henry enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Program Manager in the shipbuilding industry, where his expertise and leadership were instrumental in guiding numerous successful projects. He graduated with an associate degree from Delgado Community College, which laid the foundation for his professional journey.

Family was the cornerstone of Henry's life. He is survived by his children: Susan Busby Degeyter and her husband Barry, Henry Busby III and his wife Renee, and Alex Busby, alongside his partner Roldolfo Riveral. Henry found immense joy in his role as a grandfather, leaving behind a lasting legacy through his grandchildren: Staff Sgt. Henry Busby IV and his wife Micaela, Caroline Degeyter and her partner Kane Boudreaux, as well as Emily Busby and Matthew Degeyter.

A man of deep convictions, Henry was also a proud member of the Free Masons, reflecting his commitment to fellowship and service within his community. His presence will be profoundly missed by family and friends alike.

Henry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carol Bradbury Busby, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved. 

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Alex, Rochelle, and Catonya.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital and the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
