On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, God whispered the name of Hazel London Palode, Jr., as He called him from earth to eternity at the young age of 50. Hazel was born on June 19, 1963 in Pass Christian, MS, to the late Hazel Palode, Sr. and Johnnie B. Hinton Palode. Hazel departed this earthly life surrounded by loved ones in Saucier, MS.
Hazel was a graduate of Pass Christian High School. He worked in the Hospitality Industry for the past 25 years. Beginning with the Best Western Beach View Inn, Copa Casino and Beau Rivage in most recent years. He took pride in the work he did and never met a person he didn't like. He loved fishing and his growing plants and had a gentleness all of God's creatures.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Rose Mary Palode, and his brother, Charles E. Dedeaux, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Linda Palode; two daughters, Bridgette Bentley (Clinton) and Bridgette Joiner; one grandson, Alexzander C. Bentley; his siblings, whose mother was Johnnie: Rodney Palode (Queen), Lenora Sanders (Jerome), John Allen (Elaine), Broderick Allen (Huelya), Mary Jo Harris (James), Bridgette Young (Charles), and Katie Allen; his siblings, whose mother was Rose Mary: Angela Drummond, Charlie Barnes, Sunday Walker, Jeanie Harmon (Gary), Patricia White, Richard Dedeaux and Luella McLean (Christopher); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staffs of Memorial Hospital, the Cancer Society and Hospice Compassus for their care and compassion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
