Harvey “Pete” James Zeigler Sr., age 83, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Pete proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard from 1960 to 1967. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and had a lifelong appreciation for classic cars. Above all, he loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with those he loved. His kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family will be remembered always.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Carolyn Zeigler; his parents, Hazel and Harvey Zeigler; and his brother, Robert “Charles” Zeigler.

Pete is survived by his children, Harvey “Pete” (Gaye) Zeigler Jr., Gail (Greg) Banks, Janice (Sean) Smith, Nick (fiancée Emiley) Zeigler, and Brandy Zeigler, his devoted daughter-in-love and caregiver. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Lee) Zeigler Scott and Sandy Zeigler Baskin; eight grandchildren, Tim, Christy, Stephanie, Luke, Kyle, Erica, Hannah, and Gracie; eleven great-grandchildren, Koltin, Ethan, Nathan, Asher, Olivia, Koen, Molly, Lola, Mikayla, Aiden, and Mackenzie; his uncle, Calvin Zeigler; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Boulevard, Biloxi, MS 39532, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
