Harvey N. Everett

d. February 16, 2016

Harvey N. Everett, age 83 and a resident of Gulfport, died on February 16, 2016, in Gulfport.
Mr. Everett retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. After serving in the military, he went on to obtain two Associate Degrees then retire after 20 years in real estate where he more than once made the Million Dollar Club based on his real estate sales. Being in the military and serving his country proudly, we were fortunate to be able to live in our mother's home country of Spain as well as Tennessee, Georgia, and twice in Arizona. When he retired from the Air Force he came back to his home State of Mississippi where he then provided proudly for his mother's care.
He loved a wide range of music and had quite the collection of albums and especially loved quartets. Being an only child, he enjoyed his alone time and spent his time living a simple life, eating healthy and exercising. He encouraged our independence and to further our educations as he lead by example. He saw the good in everybody choosing the positive over the negative although sometimes it might not come across that way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vardamon Everett and Bessie Smith; his wife, Maria ""Lola"" D. Everett and a grandson, Christopher Dean Jackson.
Mr. Everett is survived by his children, Sandra Bredemeier of Gulfport, Harvey N. (Marlene) Everett, Jr. of California, Jeanett (Rusty) Lanier of Gulfport, and David Everett of Gulfport; his brother, Gene Everett of Magee; his sister, Vivian Capone of California; his grandchildren, Michelle Jackson, Cole Lanier, and Alexa Lanier and one great grandchild.
