Harry Harold Stegenga, age 73, of Pass Christian, passed away on June 6, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Piet Stegenga and Velenia Cuevas Stegenga, a brother, Max Stegenga, grandparents, Johannas Stegenga , Anna Stegenga Dambrink, John Dambrink, Armigene Cuevas and Sedonia Malley Cuevas.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janice Lynch Stegenga, daughters, Tammy (Shane) Henzen, Dawn (Louis) Scarborough, grandchildren, Steven (Anna) Hillhouse, Jade (Christopher) Morris, Jessica Hillhouse, Ana (Matt) Hill, Maryellen Hillhouse, Jase Henzen, and Savannah Henzen, and 7 great-grandchildren, a brother, Lt. Col. Peter Stegenga, USAF, Ret., sisters, Anna Pujol, Loretta (Robert, Sr.) Helton, a brother-in-law, Edward Lynch, and other relatives and friends.
Mr. Stegenga retired after 40 years of service with Taber Metals in Gulfport. He was a deacon and member of First Baptist Church in Pass Christian and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Stegenga was an avid tennis player, photographer, and bicyclist and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 - 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Pass Christian. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 Pm in the church. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery.
