Harry “Shorty” Arthur Brackett, age 50, passed away on March 2, 2026, at University Hospital in Mobile, AL.

Harry was born on November 11, 1975, in Biloxi, (St. Martin Community). He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend whose kindness, dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Following his graduation from high school, Harry proudly enlisted in the United States Army in 1996. During his military service, he served as a communications specialist and was stationed in Germany for ten years. His time in the Army reflected his deep sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to serving his country.

After returning home, Harry continued his career in security and communications. He worked in security and surveillance at the local casinos before joining CSpire, a communication company, where his determination and leadership helped him rise through the ranks to become a supervisor at the Mobile, AL office.

Harry was a loyal and loving husband to his wife, Crista Brackett, with whom he shared eleven wonderful years in marriage. He treasured his family and remained deeply connected to those closest to him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Crista Brackett; his parents, Harry and Marlene Brackett; his siblings, Eric (Nongluck) Brackett, Rodney (Kristi) Brackett and Denise (Mark) Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews

Harry will be remembered for his quiet strength, dedication to his work and the love he had for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Northwood Church, 14281 Oneal Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
