Harrison Lee Lofton, age 71 a resident of Biloxi, MS., passed away on June 23, 2025, in Ocean Springs, MS.
He is a retired Staff Sergeant of the U. S. Marine Corp; he had a deep love for his country and for serving it. He worked for Chevron and Zachary Construction Co. for many years.
Harrison loved to fish, he loved watching football with Colton, working out in the yard, hanging out with family and friends at home. He was a member of the Fleur De Lis Society (Biloxi French Club) and enjoyed spending time there with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison P. Lofton and Kathleen Lorraine Lofton; Eugne Joseph Roberts, Jr. “Buddy”, Dolores Mary Roberts, Diane Trosclair, Kathy St. Amant, John D. Lofton, Curtis Lofton, Wanda Roberts Valentine, Tany Roberts Sjostrom, and Cynthis Roberts.
Harrison is survived by his siblings Phyllis Rhynes (Jody Broussard, Sr.) of Biloxi., Debbie Duvall (William Daughdrill) of Biloxi, George Lofton and Larry Lofton of Rhode Island, and Timothy P. Roberts of Biloxi; special great nephew and fishing partner, Colton DeShazo; great nieces, Journee DeShazo, Makayla DeShazo, and many other great nieces and nephews; nieces, Jessica Freitas, Juliette Neely (Bobby), Kecia DeShazo, Bridget Stribling (Sean); his nephews, Christopher Lofton, Kenneth Cook Jr. (Dina), Shawn Cook (Tonya), Leslie Valentine (Anna); his best friends, Steve Koch & Margaret Mileski, Richard Broussard and Tina Cooper; and a host of others dear friends and relatives.
A graveside service with full Military Honors being rendered will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Blvd. in Biloxi from 9:00 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.
A special thank you to Richard Broussard and Tina Cooper for being caretakers, cooking meals and making sure he was fed, and for getting him to appointments, we couldn’t have done it without your help. We would also like to thank the Dr’s, nurses and staff of Ocean Springs Hospital for the care they gave during his final days.
