Harold Torries

Harold John Torries, Sr, age 86, of Vancleave, passed away on March 17, 2017 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Torries; his parents, Francis Torries and Bernice Torries; brothers and sisters, Wilfred Torries, C.J. 'Buck' Torries, Shirley Ware, Jimmy Torries, Doris Saucier, and Ernest Torries.
He is survived by his children, Nancy Henry (Ronnie) of Marionville, MO, Harold Torries, Jr (Janet) of Gautier, MS, Jeffrey Torries (Loraine) of Biloxi, MS, Joell Slifko (Christopher) of Derby, KS, and Jarrod Torries of Vancleave, MS; a brother, Ronnie Torries of Saucier, MS; a sister, Peggy Pittman of Saucier, MS; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He worked and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after many years of service. He loved to hunt and fish.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 AM until the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Torries Cemetery in Saucier.
