Gussie ""Babe"" McKay, age 84, of Lizana, passed away on April 28, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ira S. McKay, her parents and 6 brothers and 1 sister, and a daughter-in-law, Judy McKay.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy McKay, of Lizana, Linda McKay Otillio, of Slidell, LA, and Theresa McKay Ladner and her husband Odie Wayne, of Necaise Crossing, 4 grandchildren, Jimmy (Paula) McKay, Jr., Sammi Fazzio Copeland, Trevor Ladner, and Trent Ladner, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She retired from Lizana Elementary School cafeteria after many years of service. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lizana and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. McKay enjoyed working on Christmas crafts and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Lizana, where friends may visit from 9 - 10 am.
Interment will be in Herman Ladner Cemetery, Saucier and an online guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com
