Gregory R. Ahrens

Gregory R. Ahrens, 65, passed away on March 22, 2013, at his brother's home in Biloxi.
Gregory was born in Gulfport, and was the son of William ""Bill"" E. Sr. and Eldora S. Netto Ahrens, who preceded him in death.
He spent his days growing up in Delisle and had gotten to know the local neighbors, spending countless times helping and socializing with them. People around the neighborhood looked out for him and had grown to make him part of their families.
He had a great skill working on small engine lawn mowers and getting them running.
He was often seen riding around the area like a mayor.
Gregory is survived by three brothers, William ""Bill"" E., Jr., of Long Beach, Wayne, of Lizana, and Michael Ahrens of Biloxi; two sisters, Donna M. Ahrens Hill of Long Beach and Evelyn E. Ahrens Coker of Forest Hill, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at 11am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Delisle Cemetery.
