Greg Fergonise, age 53, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family and friends. He was born on August 25, 1972, and was a resident of the Necaise Crossing community in Hancock County, Mississippi.

For 24 years, Greg worked diligently as an outside salesman for Bailey Lumber & Supply. He was far more than just an employee; Greg possessed a rare gift for connection. Through his decades on the road and in the field, he formed deep, lasting relationships with his clients. To Greg, they were never just customers his warmth, integrity, and friendly nature naturally turned business handshakes into genuine, lifelong friendships.

Greg was a man who truly embraced the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. An avid outdoorsman, he found great peace and joy when he was out fishing or hunting. Above all else, Greg's heart belonged to his family and friends. He loved nothing more than spending quality time cooking up delicious meals for them, using food and hospitality to express his deep affection. Greg was especially known for pouring extra love into his grandbabies, cherishing every single moment he got to spend spoiling and doting on them.

Greg was preceded in death by his dad, Elwood Fergonise.

His legacy of love lives on through his survivors, including his devoted wife, Ola Ladner Fergonise; his mother, Mary Fergonise; and his sister, Cheryl Walker (Lester). He is also survived by his children, Tres Ladner, Jazmyn Gaude (Jay), and Mason Fergonise (Haley); and his deeply adored grandchildren, Desli Gaude, Reid Gaude, Elaina Fergonise, Rowdey Fergonise, Cannon Beaugez, and Tyler Beaugez.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Allison Wall and her staff, Deaconess Hospice, and Nathan for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during this time.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Refuge Baptist Church, 5755 Rocky Hill Dedeaux Road, Kiln, Mississippi 39556. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
