Gordon ""Rooster"" Rettig, age 58 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Gulfport.
Gordon was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a retired truck driver where he owned and operated Rettig Trucking Company out of Saucier.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rettig; his mother, Yvonne Poteete; a brother, Johnny Rettig and a sister, Peggy Rhodes.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Connie Rettig of Plaquemine, LA; his daughters, Tara Rettig of Jacksonville, FL and Dominique Tehan of Wisconsin; his son, Gordon T. (Shannon) Rettig, Jr. of Wiggins; his brother, Winfred Busby of Bay St. Louis; his sisters, Debra (Dennis) Hoda of Kiln, Kimberly Rettig of Saucier, and Beth Walker of Gulfport; his granddaughter, Kaylenn Sherrie Rettig of Philadelphia, MS and many loving friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 12'Noon at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mississippi City Cemetery in Gulfport.
